Client Background: Biofuel Industry Industry : Manufacturing Location: Johor Bahru & Pasir Gudang, Johor. Headcount: 1 Position Title : Senior Engineer/Mechanical Manager Tenure: Permanent Remuneration: Open Responsibilities .Perform all mechanical and rotating equipment engineering activities within the project. .Review the rotating equipment specifications, data sheets and requisition in accordance with the project requirements. .Review the rotating equipment selection based on process design requirement. .Work together with headquarter in-house team in HK/ China and gain their input and knowledge on rotating equipment in production process .Knowledge of systems, equipment, plot plan, plant layout, development of project deliverables within the discipline. .Performing vendor data review and incorporation and ensure the equipment installation and commissioning activities is compliance at site. .Carry out appropriate discipline and inter discipline checks and reviews of engineering and design work in accordance with general specifications, particular specifications, technical specifications and drawings, etc. .Review, check, and ensure all mechanical and rotating equipment engineering deliverables .Co-ordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and own teams for implementation of the projects and ensuring it is being built correctly .Develop method of statements and testing procedures for the works. .Assist in planning and executing the mechanical maintenance activities of bio-fuels facilities .Assist to review and implement operation and maintenance strategies to improve reliability and integrity of plant equipment .Carry out troubleshooting and emergency repair of plant equipment Requirement .Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent discipline .Minimum of 7 years or above mechanical engineering experience in biofuels, petrochemical, oil & gas or oil refinery industries, on either engineering design, construction and commissioning, operation and maintenance .Knowledge of Process Equipment (Rotating) and familiar with international design codes (API, ASME, NFPA, GB etc), industrial standards and local codes .Knowledge and proven experience on design review for biofuel or similar process industry project delivery during EPC phase .Good command in both spoken and written English, fluency in Mandarin is preferable .Self-motivated, well organized, resourceful and proactive.
