We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented
Project Engineer (Mechanical)
to support and coordinate
industrial construction and maintenance projects
. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in
industrial plant maintenance (shutdown, static equipment, or hot work) or plant construction projects (civil & structural or process piping related).
You will play a key role in project planning, execution, and documentation to ensure safe, efficient, and timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Support and coordinate day-to-day project management activities, including work planning, scheduling, and progress tracking.
Review and interpret mechanical drawings, process piping layouts, and specifications to ensure proper execution on-site.
Perform material take-off (MTO) and coordinate procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Participate in project and client meetings, preparing meeting minutes and following up on action items.
Conduct or assist in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) reviews and ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and technical submissions.
Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial plant maintenance (shutdown/static/hot work) or plant construction projects (C&S/process piping).
Good understanding of industrial construction methods, piping systems, and plant operation environments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of MS Project or AutoCAD is an advantage.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Willing to work on-site and beyond normal working hours when required.
