Perform inspections on mechanical works including piping, pressure vessels, HVAC systems, rotating and static equipment, and welding activities.
Verify materials, workmanship, and installation quality in accordance with project specifications, engineering drawings, and applicable international codes (ASME, API, ISO 9001, etc.).
Conduct fit-up, visual, and dimensional inspections for piping, equipment installation, and welding work.
Ensure all inspections are carried out in accordance with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and method statements.
2. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and other QAQC documentation.
Ensure proper documentation and control of welding procedures (WPS), procedure qualification records (PQR), welder qualification records (WPQ), and related certifications.
Manage test packages such as hydrotest packs and verify material traceability via Mill Test Certificates (MTCs).
Assist in compiling and reviewing mechanical work dossiers for final handover to clients.
3. Testing & Verification
Witness and verify mechanical testing activities such as hydrostatic tests, pneumatic tests, functional tests, and equipment alignment checks.
Ensure all testing activities comply with approved test procedures, ITPs, and industry standards.
Coordinate with third-party inspectors and ensure timely implementation of corrective or preventive actions when quality issues are identified.
4. Coordination & Compliance
Work closely with construction, engineering, and subcontractor teams to resolve quality issues, discrepancies, or technical queries.
Ensure all mechanical works are executed in compliance with QAQC policies, project quality plans, and statutory requirements.
Monitor job site practices and provide feedback to improve installation quality and adherence to specifications.
5. HSE & Ad-Hoc Support
Ensure all inspection activities are carried out in compliance with site HSE requirements and promote safe work practices.
Support in internal and external audits, surveillance inspections, and quality-related meetings.
Perform any other QAQC-related tasks as assigned by the QAQC Manager or Project Manager.
