About the department
The Clinical Medical and Regulatory (CMR) department is one of the key functions that enable the business strategy through effective execution of functional goals, in the areas of Clinical Research, Medical Affairs and Regulatory.

This full-time permanent position for the Obesity portfolio is based in Kuala Lumpur and reports directly to the Medical Advisor.

The position
As a Medical Scientific Liaison, you\'ll build critical relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and healthcare providers - pushing for better clinical outcomes for people with obesity. You are also expected to share up-to-date medical knowledge and clinical trial data with internal and external stakeholders.
Your responsibility includes:

  • Leverage scientific and clinical expertise to create relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and other healthcare decision makers.
  • Arrange educational programs and workshops to assist the internal staff in understanding the scientific data for training purposes as needed.
  • Apply and disseminate knowledge and utilize scientific/clinical expertise with internal and external stakeholders as a result of a comprehensive analysis of their needs, aiming to improve overall patient outcomes.
Qualifications
  • M.D or Doctoral Degree preferably in Medicine/Pharmacology & Therapeutics. PharmD and master\'s degree will also be considered.
  • 0 - 3 years of experience in medical affairs department of a Pharma industry or in similar profile. Also, relevant clinical and/or therapeutic experience would be preferred
  • Experience in the areas of obesity/diabetes will be a plus.
  • Displays business acumen/knowledge based on experiences such as participation in formulary process decisions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
