To complement our team, we are looking for a customer- and team-oriented individual for our Plasma Control Technologies division at the Penang site as aMES EngineerFor 75 years, we have been following our curiosity. Our developments make an important contribution to safer, more efficient and more sustainable production, mobility and communication.In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.What you will do:

• This role will be part of the Global Smart Manufacturing Comet Group which is responsible for the manufacturing systems company wide but this role will be focus on the local entity.
• While this has something to do with systems it would be better to have and engineer with a affluence to IT rather than the other way around
• Directly reporting to IT Business Partner but may have a dotted line either the Manufacturing Manager or Operations Director for him to be part of a team rather than just reporting to a remote manager.
• The previous employee that has done this role was a combination of MES and IT support engineer role but now the IT Support Engineer responsibilities are don\'t by another person making this role only focus on MES.

What you bring:

• Support local digital manufacturing systems (MES, machine integration) within a global Smart Manufacturing team. Set up, test, and support new product integration into MES systems.
• Implement and support global digital manufacturing solutions. Collaborate on Industry 4.0 projects to design and implement automation and efficiency improvements.
• Act as a business analyst, consulting on IT-related tasks for operations. Work on projects across various Comet manufacturing sites (remote and on-site).
• Troubleshoot second-level MES and system integration issues. Document system designs and collaborate with the SMC team for implementation.
• Engage with engineering teams to resolve MES technical issues and drive continuous improvement. Develop training materials and train business users on MES systems. Set up IT-related production and engineering tools.
