Job Summary:
Our client is a leader in the mechanical and steel structure industry, they are now seeking an experienced Metal Designer Team Lead to oversee a team of (4) drafters. In this role, you will lead the creation of engineering drawings and designs, primarily for mechanical and steel structures. Your responsibilities will include providing technical guidance, generating essential documentation, and collaborating with sales, production, and site teams to manage design changes and support fabrication and installation.Location to work: Nilai, Negeri Sembilan:-Manage a team of 4 DraftersTo be involved in engineering drawing and design preferably mechanical / Steel structureThink creatively and develop new design concepts and layouts within the given time and cost frameworks.Contribute to the development of programs and policies that increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the department.Provide technical advice and guidance to production personnel to resolve any production technical difficulty.Ensure to generate engineering BOM, product catalog and other design-related work.Support customer - changes in design, sales team, and production/site operation team.To create design drawing details and systems for fabrication and installation.Job Requirements: -Possess at least a Diploma/ Degree of Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalentRequired language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English & Mandarin is an added advantageRequired skills: Autocad, Solidworks and Microsoft OfficeMin 2-3 years of working experience in the related fieldSheet Metal Fabrication experience will be an advantageAbility to resolve problems and perform under tight deadlines
