Equity Middle Office TCG (Trade Control Group) function resides within the Financial Markets Operations (FMO) team in Standard Chartered Bank (SCB). Its core function revolves around trade validation activities with emphasis on capturing discrepancies in the economic terms between trade capture system and authorized source documents provided by the Front Office on trade date.
KL Middle Office team provides coverage to Trading and Sales desks across ASEAN, Middle East, UK / Africa and US. Product coverage includes Derivatives \xe2\x80\x93 FX Options, Rates & Credit, Fixed Income, Commodities, Equities and FX/MM.

Trade Life Cycling
Responsible for the execution of accurate and timely trade life cycling according to the latest approved global, product, and regionally defined procedures.
Applicable to exercises, rate resets and all types of market operations.
Applicable to trade life cycling where the workflow is not defined as FO / MO STP.
Applicable to validation versus approved source life cycling model
Reconciliation and Exception Queue Management
Responsible for the execution of accurate and timely reconciliations and break investigations according to the latest approved global, product, and regionally defined procedures.
Applies to TLM, ex-TLM, inter, intra and all types of reconciliations managed by the Middle Office.
Query, Investigation and Escalation Management
Responsible for the execution of accurate & timely management of queries, investigation and escalation according to the latest approved global, product and regionally defined procedures.
Applies to all management of all queries, investigations, and escalations.
People Management
Ensure all controls are applied including those defined in the Operational Risk Framework
Liaison with Internal and External audit
TCG representative for weekly and monthly Service Review Meetings
Manage front to back product oversight across functions as per the Country Support model.

ROLE SPECIFIC TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Degree, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
With 6 - 7 years of Ops experience
Product knowledge on Equity derivatives and Equity Financing products
Conceptual understanding of derivative transaction workflow and around market events like call, exercises, fixings, rollovers etc
System awareness around TLM, Reuters/Refinitive, Bloomberg, Markitwire, TriResolve
Experience with Murex highly desirable
Knowledge of current prudential and regulatory market initiatives is desired. Familiarity with trade booking practices, SWIFT payment and confirmation gateways. Advanced
Experience of dealing with Clients, Trading or Sales
Experience of working within treasury function in trade verification or matching or settlements.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels both written (report and guideline writing) and verbally
Proactive team player.
Flexibility to work in shifts or during public holidays
