Lead the design for new solutions requested by CCIB client
Provides consultancy and advisory services to the business, systems development and technology production services for system integration, product evaluation, projects, new business engagements (i.e. acquisitions, integrations, new premises, major projects)
Acts as a \xe2\x80\x9cRelationship Manager\xe2\x80\x9d to an Applications and Solutions Delivery business line for all Infrastructure Solution Design requests.
Delivers high quality infrastructure engineering solutions for the bank across all platform requirements.
Value - add to various technology streams by timely and proper engagement and recommending appropriate solutions.
Platform and system capacity & performance related risks are identified, communicated, escalated and acted upon.
Effectively understand the way how we consume on-prem infrastructure and at the same time explore every avenue to migrate to cloud.
Strong knowledge of various AWS Resources (primarily EC2, S3, ELB, VPC, Subnets, NAT, RDS, KMS, IAM) and understand how the design is different from on-prem and accordingly educate users with Public Cloud First strategy.
Strong experience in providing solution using virtual environment and be the advocate to not allow any anti-pattern (e.g using physical servers) but the at the same time meeting user expectations.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to articulate Infra Solution Design to various forums as required.
Strong hands-on experience to promote the idea of Design and Build instead of the traditional approach of just Design as the primary scope for Architect.
Interact with application team to understand the various software requirements and ensure alignment with tech standards.
Develop methodology for Right Sizing and ensure infrastructure is not over/under provisioned.
Perform regular capacity review to the applications that overspend on Cloud and provide recommendations to optimize the Infra resources.
Thorough understanding to deep dive into a system to analyze performance and to understand the performance bottlenecks.
Full understanding of various monitoring tools and be able to create custom dashboard.
Work with Solution architect to understand various AWS resources requirement for the application
Engage with vendors and architects to determine strategic direction and align implementations accordingly.
Establish best engineering practices through solid design decisions, processes, and tools.
Provide expert advice to development and support teams to create robust production topology that are highly available, scalable and can cope with burst demand.
Champion Agile best-practices, processes, and tools in support of DevOps processes.
Strongly advantageous to attain Certifications on the above skillsets
Required \xe2\x80\x93 experience and expertise in Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment practice, tooling and techniques (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, git; Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible)
Required \xe2\x80\x93 experience with at least one of data analytics tools such as Splunk and/or ELK.
Required \xe2\x80\x93 Ability to write code. Ideally in Python or Perl or bash.
Strongly advantageous \xe2\x80\x93 experience and demonstrable accomplishments as a DevOps or automation engineer.
Strongly advantageous \xe2\x80\x93 experience of successful and demonstrable achievements in collaborative working with compliance, technology risk and regulatory requirement specialists.
Advantageous \xe2\x80\x93 deep experience in multi-tier application architecture, development, deployment and support.
Service and Finance
Demonstrates delivering services as a business (understanding and analyzing the cost base of a service, controlling a recharge and recovery model)
Experience in Quotation of Infra Solutions, differentiating CAPEX and OPEX concepts and evaluating different options to find the most cost-effective solution.
Vendor interaction, understand the product/technology lifecycle (end-of-life) and provide recommendation for changes/upgrades.
