We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mining Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient development of mines and other surface and underground operations. The role involves ensuring the safety of mining operations, planning and overseeing the extraction of minerals, and managing the environmental impact of mining activities. The Mining Engineer will work closely with geologists, surveyors, and other engineers to design mine layouts, develop mining plans, and ensure that operations comply with safety and environmental regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mining engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Key responsibilities include conducting feasibility studies, designing mining operations, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The role also involves the use of specialized software to model and simulate mining operations, as well as the preparation of technical reports and documentation. The Mining Engineer will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and to continuously seek ways to improve the efficiency and sustainability of mining operations. Responsibilities:

Conduct feasibility studies for mining projects Design and plan mining operations Oversee the extraction of minerals Ensure compliance with health and safety standards Manage budgets and project timelines Collaborate with geologists, surveyors, and other engineers Use specialized software to model and simulate mining operations Prepare technical reports and documentation Monitor and evaluate mining operations Implement measures to minimize environmental impact Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies Develop and implement safety protocols Conduct risk assessments Provide technical support and guidance to mining teams Ensure the efficient use of resources Manage and train junior engineers and technicians Coordinate with regulatory bodies and stakeholders Optimize mining processes and operations Conduct site inspections and audits Develop and maintain mine plans and schedules

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in mining engineering Strong knowledge of mining operations and techniques Proficiency in mining software (e.g., Surpac, MineSight, Vulcan) Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong understanding of health and safety regulations. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong project management skills Ability to work in remote locations Knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices Experience with mine planning and design Strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Attention to detail and accuracy Strong leadership and mentoring skills Ability to conduct risk assessments Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Willingness to travel as required
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,838.57 - RM7,245.94 per month

Work Location: In person
