AL Maritime is a business unit within GM&T (Global Markets & Technologies). The activity is articulated around four main businesses: Global Helium, Global Rare Gases, Offshore Energies and Maritime Cryogenic Supply. It is a very international environment, managing multiple locations worldwide.

As part of AL Maritime, Cryogenic Tank Services (CTS) is a Malaysian entity which was acquired in 2015. CTS specializes in cryogenic tank and equipment rental for the offshore and maritime industries as well as in cryogenic transport of molecules, and provides a full range of repair and testing services.

As part of AL Maritime, Maritime Cryosupply (MCS) delivers cryogenic gases (LAR, LCO2, LIN, LOX., H2, biomethane) where & when it is needed to AL affiliates and external customers across borders and oceans. With teams based in France and in Malaysia, a large fleet of 20-feet ISO containers and a strong entrepreneurial spirit, MCS aims to offer top quality service to its customers. Customers benefit from a one-stop shop offer and tailor-made solutions thanks to a global molecule sourcing strategy, a large fleet of ISO containers suitable for road, rail and sea, and reliable transport services from ocean freight to last-mile delivery, and from ex-works to door-to-door supply. MCS also offers maintenance and repair services for ISO containers with in-house capabilities and qualified partners across the world, inspection and certification services, along with safe and reliable storage option

n a context of strong growth, it is key for MCS to reinforce relations with molecule suppliers and freight forwarders. In this regard, the Molecule and Freight Manager\xe2\x80\x99s key responsibilities are to source molecules and freight to ensure effective and competitive gas supply and delivery to MCS customers.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

OPERATIONAL ROLE

Build and Maintain purchasing price listing and identify alternative routes (molecule + transport) to optimize customer delivery together with Logistics and Sales team to ensure short, reliable and competitive lead time for customer offer

Maintain day to day relationship with molecule and freight supplier, providing forecast, following up non conformities, building improvement plan.

Assess critical suppliers and Audit on then regular basis in accordance with GP10 Supplier Qualification and GP06 road safety

Support the activity in crisis management situations by managing spot molecule, and lead molecule product availability management

Contribute to MCS financial performance by controlling cost, generating efficiencies and proposing optimisation

TACTIC and STRATEGY ROLE

In close collaboration with APAC Procurement, in charge of sourcing strategy for APAC and with MCS Europe

• Consolidate MCS APAC Customers needs (volume per molecule, technical specification, logistics requirements)
• In collaboration with APAC and MCS procurement teams, identify, qualify and select new suppliers. Set up RFQs,. Secure agreement with molecule and freight forwarding partners
• Define and deploy Molecule and Freight Forwarder sourcing plan for MCS APAC.
• Prepare and participate to Maritime Committee
• Deploy and contribute to GP06 IMS Road Safety for MCS APAC. Owns the GP10 Control of Products and Services from Providers
• Perform a continuous market watch to understand the global trends in transport and sourcing and when needed propose actions

Close collaboration with APAC, MCS and Global procurement teams on strategic procurement

Knowledge specific to the position

\xe2\x97\x8f Degree in with a specialization in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or equivalent

\xe2\x97\x8f At least 5 years in the supply chain /operations with Cryogenic liquid product & gas product

\xe2\x97\x8f Knowledge of ocean freight market and international supply chain management

\xe2\x97\x8f Solid cost analysis skills (google sheet pivot, Power BI)

\xe2\x97\x8f Excellent english communications skills, both written and verbal

\xe2\x97\x8f Supplier negotiation and contract management skills

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to speak Mandarin to be able to deal with China molecule suppliers is a plus

\xe2\x97\x8f Technical knowledge on gas, pressure, valve, iso containers operations and safety is a plus
