Job Responsibilities:

Receive infrastructure resource upgrade requirements from Business, app and solution architect to estimate hardware (example: Network tech refresh) resource cost. Understand the architecture including gap analysis and requirement gathering. Provide some technical expertise advice all aspects of the solution designing, including infrastructure and product related to network (e.g. scalability, security, availability, integration). Work with solution architect team and translate application hardware or resources requirements into infrastructure High Level Estimate (HLE) for budgetary costing purpose. Work with the vendor team to develop High Level Solutions if required. Network Engineer aids in design, build, and manage the network infrastructure of information technology (IT) systems. This includes (but not limited to) installing hardware (physical & virtual), configuring switches, routing changes, etc in both LAN and WAN. The Network Engineer is expected to be proficient in all aspects of ITIL (i.e. Incident Management, Service Request Management, Change Request Management, Problem Management, Disaster Response, etc.). Designing network architecture: Review internal business requirements for network systems and collaborate with other engineers and developers to decide on an overall technical approach. To direct the installation of both the software and hardware components of network along with other portions of security or load balancing infrastructure. During the project engagement, the Network Engineer must constantly monitor network devices for performance problems and provide troubleshooting support for users. When issues arise, they must analyse the root cause and resolve them promptly or else escalate them to another department while updating users all throughout. To also create diagrams of network topologies and record details of troubleshooting processes. Analyze and resolve network security breaches and vulnerability issues in a timely and accurate fashion (Example: VAPT findings). Conduct user activity audits where required. Develop, implement, maintain and oversee enforcement of policies, procedures and associated plans for network and system administration that has been set. Able to perform implementations or provide necessary details to handover to implementation team as required. Provides Level 3 support and direction for production related issues. Considered a SME for network related devices. Responsible for documentation of end-to-end network design. Works with external vendors for chronic issues, bugs, feature enhancements. Participates and provide guidance for new feature enhancements, code and certification. Helps with lifecycle management of network related products (Example: EOL/EOS network devices that require to tech refresh). Any other responsibilities/tasks as assigned by the management from time to time.
Job Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Network Engineering or Infrastructure support Strong experience with Switches, Routers, Firewalls Deep understanding of protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, and STP. Expertise in managing SD-WAN, MPLS, and site-to-site VPNs. Proficiency in configuring virtual switches and managing network traffic in a virtualized environment (Cloud or On-Prem).

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM4,800.00 per month
