Job Description

Our Direct-To-Consumer segment (D2C), is one of our fastest growing product areas in the market, with an abundance of expansion plans and innovative ideas on hand.Financial reporting and compliance

  • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations and financial reporting functions of the Group
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards
  • Review the monthly, quarterly financial statements and reporting for the Group. This includes group consolidation, audited accounts and annual report.
  • Provide accurate, timely and relevant statutory reporting and management information to ensure management meet statutory requirements and achieve strategic business goals.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate submission of the Group quarterly financial reports to Bursa as per the internal deadlines
  • Work with other departments to ensure business requirements are being addressed
  • Liaise with the auditors and ensuring that the audit process for the Group is done timely and smoothly
  • Work with Company Secretary to ensure that the regulatory requirements are being complied with
Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Assist superior in developing financial budgets, forecasts and cash flows
  • Analyse financial data and provide meaningful insights to the management
  • Budgetary planning, controlling, and monitoring to meet performance target
Corporate Tax and SST
  • Ensure the timely and accurate submission of corporate tax and SST
  • Ensure the timely payments of all tax and SST obligations
  • Ensure that all audit matters are being addressed and resolved expediently
TeFinancial reporting and compliance

Team development
  • Give guidance and coaching to subordinates to ensure competency in their task and to carry out their duties in an effective and efficient manner
  • Promote high level of morale and positive productivity among departmental staff.
  • Participates in staff activities, training, and meetings as and when required.
  • Ensure positive & effective communications between staff under supervision with other departments to ensure smooth and effective workflow
Process and policies
  • Monitor existing accounting policies adopted and proactively identify gaps for improvement
  • Enhance, develop, implement accounting policies and procedures including automation of process to maintain and strengthen internal controls, in order to improve the overall finance operations and effectiveness of the Group
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Support system integration and/or finance transformation projects
Other reporting / matters
  • Ensure the timely and accurate reporting to Bank Negara Malaysia, MDEC and any other regulatory bodies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies
  • Other ad hoc assignment
  • Candidates must possess Degree/Diploma in Accounting/Partial ACCA or equivalent or pursuing other related accounting courses
Experience
  • Minimum 8 years of working experience in the related field and position.
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Audit experience is preferred
Skills / Knowledge
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
  • ERP knowledge and experience
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • High-level of integrity with good interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Good organization skills with an ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently.
