As a Night Cabin Steward at Eastern & Oriental Express, A Belmond Train you are part of a team that brings impeccable cabin room care to life through preparation and guest satisfaction. In this role, you will prepare guest cabin rooms with meticulous detail, to ensure a luxurious and welcoming guest experience, while also looking after the room for the rest of the guests\' duration with us. Primary responsibilities include: Ensure passengers continue to receive the highest level of services during the night shift and that requests are dealt with promptly and effectively Ensure the highest level of security and safety during the night shift Supervise train movements over the Railways, in order to ensure timely arrivals and departures at stations and the best travel experience for passengers on-board during the night shift Arrange all necessary food & beverage and document preparation for the next day Ensure a great communication with the train manager, cabin manager and day shift stewards Complete your duties in accordance with LQA standards. Ensure that all assigned cabins are public areas are clean and inspected by the end of your shift. Eastern & Oriental Express is relaunching on February 19, 2024. Requirements 1 - 2 years relevant experience within a similar role. Previous experience in a similar role - advantageous. Hospitality experience advantageous, preferably in a luxury environment. Hospitality qualification advantageous. Attention to detail. Time management skills. Understanding of housekeeping tasks & practices - butler service, bed-making, dusting, arranging guest supplies etc. Ability to follow instructions & work independently when required. Customer service skills. We seek warm, genuine, authentic people with a passion for travel and discovery. You are self-assured without being arrogant, and keen to interact with our discerning guests. You are a great storyteller with a positive mindset and a can-do attitude. International exposure will be considered a plus. You must speak English. Additional languages, such as Japanese, Korean, Cantonese, French and German, are a benefit. We welcome a diversity of backgrounds, ethnicities and religions. Experience in the hospitality industry is a bonus, but not a necessity. You could be from an independent restaurant or bar, have worked in luxury retail or private villas, or be a tour guide.
