Responsibilities

  • To ensure that the sequence of work during construction phase of RM OGP Project is in accordance with the Path of Construction which derived from Construction Work Area (CWA) of AWP process.
  • To work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) construction team, Company\'s construction engineers to ensure all offsite construction work are released for execution in the right sequence and constraints free, hence, achieving the most optimum/efficient way of construction.
  • To participate actively and providing his valuable construction inputs during Execution Plan Review, Construction Review, etc, to streamline the work sequence and reduce rework and punchlist.
  • To be Resident Construction Engineer for COMPANY during the module fabrication work, and will thereafter move to Bintulu site office during the Bintulu Port, MLNG, BIF and BAGSF2 offsite works. During this period the candidate will be expected to liaise actively with third party operators who are responsible for the safe operation of the plants and will be expected to comply to all plant safety regulations.
  • Report directly to RM OGP Onshore Construction Manager.
Qualifications
  • Minimum degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil) from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 15 years experience in Oil & Gas industry with installation and pre-commissioning, commissioning experience in onshore gas plant and petrochemical plant.
  • Preferably 5 years in Cat-3 workpack preparation and construction planning for hook-up/installation and pre-commissioning and commissioning.
  • Working knowledge in:
  • Experience in brownfield plant modification/turnaround, complying with plant safety regulations and execution timeslot
  • SIMOPS/ Site Specific Procedure (SSP), positive isolation, lifting and hoisting, vessel entry, schedule waste management, etc.
  • Familiarity with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) and work with Workface Planning Engineers to get the manhour estimation and work sequencing in term of construction planning (IWP workface planning) with respect to Construction Work Area and Path of Construction.
  • Tanks, steel structure and modularized construction.
  • Underground and above ground on metallic and non-metallic pipings prefabrication and installation.
  • Equipment installation such as gas compressors, pressure vessels, columns, boilers, pumps, valves, conveyors, etc.
  • Transportation and erection of heavy lifts and over dimension equipment utilizing cranes, multi-axle wheel transporters, etc.
  • Blasting and painting for steel structure and metallic piping/pipeline.
  • Insulation works.
  • Equipment, tools and materials preservation.
  • Requirement of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) for piping, pipeline, steel structure, vessel, etc.
  • Regulatory compliances / requirements for construction work.
  • Earth Work, piling, foundation, concrete/pre-cast concrete, steel structure, building, etc.
  • Familiar with planning softwares such as Microsoft Project/Primavera P6.
  • Familiar with drafting and 3D modelling software such as AutoCAD, SmartPlant 3D, Universal Plant Viewer, Naviswork etc.
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Location

Initially to be based at Kuching. Thereafter, at Bintulu
