Purpose of Role: This role acts as the Production Operation Technician for Rubber Mixing Process Department within Weir Minerals Malaysia

Key Responsibilities:
\xc2\xb7 Focus Area:

The said position responsible to Safety, Health and Environment (SHE).

• Ensure the implementation of the Company SHE Policy for the prevention of injury, damage or loss to Company personnel and resources and ensure that line management are fully aware of their accountability for the environment, health and safety of Company Employees and others who may be affected by Company activities.

• Ensure take all necessary safety precautions and immediately report any hazardous situations.
• Set a personal example in health and safety awareness by wearing all personal protective equipment supplied. Ensure that all safety equipment provided to persons under their control is worn and not misused.

The said position responsible to Production Operational:

• To execute activities in production operation and ensure Standard Operation Procedure (SOP)/Good Manufacturing Practices/Condition (GMP) are in place.

• To execute plan and prioritize products efficiently and effectively to ensure production fulfillments are on time, in full without compromising on safety and quality.
• To escalate any operation issues to superior.
• To perform other duties as directed by superiors.

• Work closely with engineering department in ensuring all machine are in proper working condition and upgrade when needed.
• Involve in new product development and product/process improvement activity.

Support and assist schedule Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and production trial by completing the activities as per agreed and aligned timeframe.\xc2\xb7

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

• Education required- PMR/PT3, SPM, SKM or Certificate
• Experience required- No experience required or minimum 1 - 2 years experience in production
• Other skills required-

• Able to drive forklift/stacker/tow truck & understand road safety.
• Able to speak, write and understand Malay/English.
• Able to work in shift.
• Knowledge of manufacturing/production operations.
• Knowledge in basic tools/repair.
• Knowledge in basic computer and Microsoft Office Tools.
