What you will do:
  • To create, review and maintain regional and countries\' operational risk governance framework, policies, procedures, risk register, etc and ensure that they are aligned to market practices and appropriately implement across the Group, focusing on operational risk, business continuity, third party risk management, etc.
  • Provide independent review and challenge of risk control self-assessments (RCSA) and root cause analysis together with the risk owners; partner the risk owners in the design and review of their processes to strengthen their control environment according to the outcome of the risk assessment and other risk-related events.
  • Oversee and support the operational risk incident reporting process which include ensuring risk owners timely report, lodge and escalate operational risk incidents, and where required, coordinate the investigation process, and ensuring timely implementation of the necessary corrective actions and processes prior to closure.
  • Setup and test the business resilience framework and provide support to the Crisis Management teams by partnering with departments and ensuring the timely completion and assessment of the business impact analysis and business continuity plans.
  • Setup and implement the third-party outsourcing/vendor governance framework and partner with departments on the service arrangements by ensuring operational risk assessment are thoroughly completed in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with the other departments for the implementation of risk-driven projects/initiatives, and participate in new products/services to ensure that operational risk considerations have been adequately assessed.

Requirements:

What we are looking for:
  • A good Degree in Finance, Business, Accountancy or related fields of study
  • Preferably 8 to 10 years of relevant working experience in the financial industry
  • Strong analytical skills with good knowledge of risks and controls in the financial industry
  • Strong abilities in driving change, and applying forward thinking in initiating process improvements and transformation
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications and presentation skills with ability to work across different departments
