The Garden Operations Executive is responsible for overseeing daily garden and retail operations, focusing on plant care, product display, shipment handling, plant rental support, and wastage management. This role ensures that all plants and garden products are well-maintained, attractively presented, and handled efficiently to maintain high operational and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Retail Operations Support
Assist in the daily running of the retail store to ensure smooth operations.
Coordinate with the Operations Manager to implement operational strategies and process improvements.
Support retail staff in maintaining an organized, clean, and customer-friendly environment.
2. Plant Maintenance
Carry out regular watering, pruning, repotting, and general upkeep of all outdoor and indoor plants.
Monitor plant health and take prompt action on issues such as pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the garden area and ensure plants are well presented at all times.
Record and report daily plant wastage, and assist in developing strategies to reduce loss.
3. Plant Rental Assistance
Assist in preparing plants for rental, including cleaning, trimming, and quality checks before delivery.
Coordinate with the Operations Manager and Sales team for plant delivery and collection schedules.
Provide support during setup or maintenance visits at client locations when required.
Ensure all rental plants are properly maintained and returned in good condition.
4. Shipment Handling
Receive, open, and inspect incoming shipments to verify product quality and accuracy.
Report any damages, discrepancies, or missing items to the Operations Manager immediately.
Properly store received goods in designated garden or retail display areas.
5. Product Display and Pricing
Ensure all products (plants, flowers, and accessories) are accurately tagged and priced.
Create attractive and organized product displays to enhance sales potential.
Refresh displays regularly to align with new arrivals, seasonal themes, and promotions..
Requirements:
Minimum SPM / Diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture, or related field.
At least 1-2 years of experience in plant operations, landscaping, or retail (floristry or nursery experience preferred).
Strong plant knowledge and hands-on care experience.
Physically fit and able to work in outdoor conditions.
Good teamwork, organization, and communication skills.
Valid motorcycle license required.
