Operations Implementation Manager

Job Description





Overall responsible to support Malaysia business unit in execution of projects, operational excellence, governance and change management.


Key Tasks & Accountabilities:

  • Manage execution of projects which are often cross-functional to deliver against objectives and timelines.
  • Takes a proactive, holistic approach to business practices and processes, identifying suitable methodologies, tools and measurements for continuous improvement.
  • Partners across the business to identify, develop and implement process improvements for efficiency and effectiveness of processes. Acts as a leader, influencer and change agent in the implementation of initiatives that support the strategic and operational priorities.
  • Develop relevant business requirement documents, assess solutions from relevant teams, develop test plans / scenarios and execute user tests, where relevant.
  • Serve as liaison between team and external stakeholders for delivery of projects or initiatives.
  • Manage resolution of issues through stakeholders or project team members and liaise with affected business areas.
  • Undertake quality assurance process to ensure deliverables are fit for purpose and the risk of omissions, duplication and error is reduced.
  • Manage governance aspects of the organization from the 1st line of defense perspective including monitoring of relevant outsourcing, vendor management and procurement of services.
  • Supports the delivery of Board, regional and local reports/presentations or managing local committee meetings, where required.



Job Requirements
Experience/ Skills:
  • Program/ project delivery with material IT component
  • Lean/ 6-sigma/ Design Thinking/ Agile experience
  • Stakeholder engagement and influence
  • Customer experience development & delivery
  • Vendor management
  • Collaborating with multiple department stakeholders
  • Report / presentation preparation



Knowledge:
  • Operational excellence programs
  • Project management
  • Understanding of insurance products, coverages, core servicing/ claims processes and Takaful knowledge.
  • Digital technology platforms; the component parts, how they work from business perspective and optimal approach to business input to shape them



Qualifications:
  • Project Management

  • Customer-based training/ qualifications
