What you will be doing

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide the fastest on-time door-to-door service, coordinating collections & deliveries, processing for exports and imports. Pro-actively clear shipments with Customs and other government agencies where possible. Liaise with airlines, international agents, and other overseas offices in our network ensuring our shipments are handled appropriately. Rectify operational issues minimizing delays to agreed delivery times. Handle time critical shipments, dangerous goods, temperature sensitive products using special packaging (including refrigerants and temperature monitors). Monitor domestic and international agent\'s service performance as per World Courier\'s standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Imports & Export

• Supervise Operations team to ensure smooth running of day-to-day operations.
• Monitor World Star screens applicable to inbound shipments according to SOP 600 and operations email.
• Resolve day-to day staff performance issues and keep Operations Manager informed.
• Ensure appropriate procedures as per global SOP, Operations Memo and regulation are being followed in the processing of shipments.
• Monitoring Courier\'s job activities
• Arrange for Weekday and weekend Duty Roster.
• Verify job details against the shipping document to ensure job details are correct e.g Drive away, service code, flight details etc.
• Ensure shipments are stored at the correct temperature condition on arrival until delivery.
• Provide origin offices with sending instructions when necessary
• Follow Special Delivery Instructions, Sending Instructions for each shipment.
• Prepare delivery manifest for the Courier\'s.
• Monitor domestic and international agent\'s service performance as per World Courier\'s standards.
• Arrange filght bookings.
• Check marking and labeling of shipments in accordance with local regulations, AOT and the IATA DGR
• Enter all applicable extra charges for each job.
• Update and manifest jobs, including attaching documents to Optiview.
• Carry out airline interface and cargo tracking in a timely manner.
• Obtain necessary endorsements / clearance with applicable government agencies when appropriate.
• Confirm uplift (post-flight) for all outbound shipments including agent locations & airline transfers.
• Perform domestic transfer for shipments transiting in KLIA and agent\'s offices under Malaysia control.
• Check and replenish refrigerants when necessary for all outbound shipments including shipments transiting in KLIA.
• Assist Operations Manager in agent\'s review and SLU.
• Provide on-going training for shipping, courier and drivers as per Training Requirements
• Assist EIR on a weekly basis.
• Respond to "ok to send request from origin offices.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma/secondary school with a pass in English or equivalent.
• Strong international & domestic geographic knowledge.
• An understanding of Imports and Exports processes and statutory requirements.
• Sound experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Industry experience.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Service and customer orientated
• Team player
• Multi tasking
• Decision making
• 5 years customer service experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
