Summary

We're looking for a

Junior PCA Administrator

to support the setup, operation, and maintenance of Oracle Private Cloud Appliance systems. You'll assist senior engineers in managing compute, storage, and network components while learning how enterprise cloud infrastructure works. This is a great opportunity for fresh graduates interested in virtualization, cloud infrastructure, and system operations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in installation and configuration of Oracle PCA hardware and software components. Support daily operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting of PCA systems. Help manage virtual machines and basic networking (VLAN, MTU, IP configuration). Learn and assist in performing system patching, firmware updates, and maintenance tasks. Support backup and recovery activities together with the DBA and infrastructure teams. Help document procedures, runbooks, and operational checklists. Assist in automating simple tasks (e.g., monitoring scripts or health checks). Work under the guidance of senior engineers during maintenance or incident response.

Requirements

Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. Basic understanding of virtualization, networking, and Linux systems. Interest in cloud infrastructure, system administration, or data center operations. Eager to learn Oracle technologies and enterprise environments. Good teamwork and communication skills. Willing to work flexible hours or during maintenance windows when required.

Added Advantage

Exposure to virtualization tools (Oracle VM, VMware, or KVM). Basic scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Ansible). Familiarity with storage concepts (SAN, iSCSI, NAS). Experience from internship or university project involving servers or cloud systems. Oracle or Red Hat certification (optional but a plus).

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
