RESPONSIBILITY:
- Assist in identification applicable Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental and Sustainability (OSHES) legislative, regulatory and other relevant requirements under OSHES Management Systems prior to update by PIC for Legal Regulation Register mill.
- Assist in preparing OSH, Environmental & Sustainability (OSHES) Compliance Plan and Monitoring with advice from Safety Supervisor & Mill Manager.
- Conduct and ensures that the OSHES Compliance Plan and Monitoring is implemented as per plan and requirements respectively.
- Coordinates on the identification of environmental aspects and impacts/HIRARC and coordinate the determination of controls for significant environmental aspect & impact and hazard.
- Monitors OSHES performance in respect of social, significant environmental aspects, occupational hazards and regulatory compliance.
- Implements recommendations from the Management Review and Internal & External OSHES Management Systems Audits with consultation from Mill Manager / Safety Supervisor.
- Assist in monitoring and ensuring the relevant approvals and licenses, and competencies are in place.
- Assist in communicate the safety & health, environmental, and sustainability policies, aspects and impacts and all other relevant environmental, safety & health and sustainability issues to employees.
- Assist in identification of training needs and carry out the training internally with advice from Safety Supervisor & Mill Manager.
- Attend OSHES Meeting, and conduct workplace inspection and OSHES audit check to identify any issues related to OSHES.
- Report the audit checking finding, carry out trend analysis and address the rectification and improvement action for Mill Manager and Safety Supervisor.
- Coordinates and guides the mill\xe2\x80\x99s Sustainability Management Team and monitors their respective job functions accordingly.
- To report any unusual situations/problems to Mill Manager / Safety Supervisor.
- Reports to Mill Manager & Safety Supervisor on any deviation in environmental, safety & health and sustainability procedures/ practices observed.
- To give instructions to process/ general workers to carry out their duties in accordance with environmental, safety & health and sustainability procedures
- Background in Safety and Health and holding OSH-C Competency is additional value.
- Well versed knowledge in the OSH, Environmental and Sustainability (ISCC/RSPO & MSPO) Legal & Requirements.
- Experience in Environmental Management System, Occupational Safety & Health Management System and Sustainability Management System.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Work independently and minimum supervision.
- Willing to be based in Ayer Hitam, Johor
