Job Description

As a Pharmacist Assistant, you will support the pharmacist in daily operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and customer-focused dispensing of medications and healthcare services.

1.

Dispensing Support

Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications. Ensure accurate labeling, packaging, and documentation of medications. Maintain proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical products.
2.

Customer Service

Provide excellent customer service by attending to customer inquiries on medications, health supplements, and personal care products. Guide customers on the proper use of non-prescription items under pharmacist supervision. Handle customer complaints or direct them to the pharmacist when necessary.
3.

Inventory & Stock Management

Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering, receiving, and restocking medicines and supplies. Conduct regular stock checks and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO method). Check for expired or damaged stock and report accordingly.
4.

Administrative Duties

Maintain and update patient records and prescription files. Assist in billing, cashiering, and generating sales reports as needed. Comply with pharmacy laws and internal SOPs for record-keeping and customer confidentiality.
5.

Hygiene & Compliance

Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the pharmacy at all times. Adhere to MOH guidelines, Good Dispensing Practice (GDP), and Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) standards. Support the pharmacist in complying with Poison Act 1952 and other relevant healthcare regulations in Malaysia.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,800.00 per month

Expected hours: 8 - 50 per week
