Job Description

1. Assists the qualified nurses in providing care to all patients within an assigned unit

2. Applies and demonstrate knowledge of the delivery of professional care, including all aspects of practice, as defined and reinforced in Hospital Seri Botani's policies

3. Strive to provide high quality holistic nursing care

4. Knowledgeable and strong believer in quality improvement activities

I. PATIENT CARE:



1. Adopts a caring approach and responsible for the direct patient care by adhering to Standard Operational Procedures, Work Instructions and Policies

2. Maintains patient's privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times.

3. Identify the correct patient for the correct procedure/diet by using two patient identifiers.

4. Provides hands-on care to patients according to plan of care/policies and procedure and standard of care:

Performs physical care and treatment activities safely and in a cost-effective manner Observes and monitors patients' conditions, and communicates patient care needs to trained staff in-charge as necessary Observes and interprets patient's symptoms and communicating them to trained staff
5. Response to immediate medical care in emergencies

6. Assist the trained staff in performing basic nursing care for patients' comfort, safety, nutritional and elimination needs

7. Attends to patient call bell promptly

8. Daily routine:

Makes regular nursing rounds on all patients in the unit to ascertain additional needs Maintains the cleanliness of all areas of the unit Makes and tidies patient's beds. Provides clean beddings or clothing when necessary Carbolize beds and equipment and patient care units
9. Assist the trained staff to:

Carry out basic nursing care for patient comfort, nutritional and elimination needs Provide bed bath and provide total personal hygiene to non-ambulatory patients Monitor patient's condition and assessing their needs to provide the best possible care and advice Perform dressing, intravenous line setting, catheterization, vulva swabbing, etc Serve drinks and diet to patients Dispatch specimen to laboratory Transfer/transport patients within the HSB premises
10. COMMUNICATION:

Communicates and confers with team members throughout shift to ensure optimal care. Foster an environment where communication is encouraged and welcome Receives report from Registered Nurses from previous shift Maintain effective communication which include public relationship skill and interact with other healthcare professional to provide best multidisciplinary care to patients

Pay: From RM1,700.00 per month
