Responsibilities

This position will provide day-to-day operational management of the ASA Geo Zone payroll function. This will include ensuring proper and adequate controls and processes as well as managing the outsourced payroll vendor. This position ensures accuracy of payroll in accordance with government regulations and country specific requirements.

  • Manage the payroll function, which includes the payroll process and all its inputs/outputs
  • Manage the timeliness and data quality of the inputs required to process an accurate payroll (i.e. time entry, employee demographics, benefit deductions, taxes, etc.)
  • Manage the timeliness and data quality of the outputs by outsourced payroll vendor, required by internal and external business partners per their requirements (i.e. GL file, bank file, etc.)
  • Manage 3rd party vendors relationships, including the contracts, change orders, communication and invoice payments
  • Responsible for disbursement of all payroll checks/direct deposits, payroll taxes and employee benefits payments
  • Responsible for providing employee support on questions relating to their pay, and working with functional partners on resolution for any issues
  • Responsible for all business reporting needs, audit requirements and controls documents
  • Develop and implement best practices, key performance indicators and metrics for the function
  • Functionally responsible for managing payroll staff to ensure payrolls are processed timely, accurately and effectively
  • Maintain effective internal controls and proactively work to identify and implement efficiency improvements
  • Drive consistency and standardization in payroll practices, controls, and management reporting.
  • Ensure payroll services are processed in accordance with all legislative compliance requirements
  • Accountable to know payroll regulation changes and make recommendations to management on internal guideline for compliance.
  • Comply with company policies and government regulations that impact the processing of payroll
  • Partner with IT, HR, Finance, and legal on issues such as processing of employee health and welfare benefits, bonus payments, Employee Stock Purchase, integration of acquisitions/divestitures, etc.
  • Maintain confidentiality of any payroll, private employee information and any proprietary information and ensure payroll information is secure
  • Must understand & comply with all safety rules & company policies of Weatherford
Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years multicounty payroll experience
  • Proven success in collaborating with functional business partners leaders and leading change initiatives
  • Proven track record as a trusted advisor and partner with business leadership, along with demonstrated project management, analytical and process orientation skills
  • Demonstrated success managing complex and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual with second language English
  • Accurate mathematical and reconciliation skills
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or other related field - preferred
  • Knowledge/Experience with major HRMS systems (preferable Oracle HCM)
  • Certified Payroll Professionals (CPP) other recognized payroll certification preferred
