People & Culture Specialist (Mid-Level)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The Role

As our People & Culture Specialist, you will play an integral role in hiring the best talents for UMAI. Reporting directly to the Head of People & Culture, you will work hand in hand in creating a high performing team, in a culture of openness, learning, operational excellence, collaboration and innovation.

This is not a formal corporate role. We are looking for someone who has a \xe2\x80\x9chustle\xe2\x80\x9d attitude, who is results driven, comfortable with ambiguity, is a self-starter and has a sense of humor. What You\'ll Do * Manage end to end recruitment cycle from talent sourcing, interviews to firming up offers to best fit candidates.

• You will be responsible to prepare documentation (employment contracts, reference letters, guides, etc)and other HR operations on ad-hoc basis.
• Ensure smooth new employee onboarding to ensure that every new UMAI team member has a great starting experience
• Assist to drive employee engagement strategy and initiatives.
• You will be involved in the art & science of employer branding. You will enhance UMAI\'s external brand on job portals, social media and propose new tools to reach our goal.
• You will help your team to improve UMAI\'s culture by organizing team events and other initiatives.
• You will work alongside and with our Head of People and Culture and together shape the People & Culture Department and company further.

Your Profile:

• Education Background: Human Resources, Business, Management, Psychology, Social Sciences or similar subjects.
• If you are an experienced professional, 2-3 year experience in Talent Acquisition/ People Operations is good to have.
• You have passion in talent scouting and talent management.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English and ability to articulate ideas clearly.
• Takes accountability, good analytical skills, with high degree of commitment and time pressure to meet deadlines and objectives.
• A fast learner and self-starter with good initiative and a hands-on attitude to get things done!
• Strong organization skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• A charismatic, trustworthy, and relatable team player
• Able to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Able to start work immediately or within short notice (if possible).
• Open for Malaysians only.
