Job Summary:

We are seeking a versatile and passionate individual to join Furry Paws as a Groomer & Pet Care Specialist. In addition to grooming and pet care, this role involves assisting with retail, managing customer inquiries, handling some administrative tasks, and overseeing our social media presence. Key Responsibilities:

1. Pet Grooming (Primary Role)

Perform grooming services such as bathing, trimming, and styling for various pets. Ensure pets are handled safely and comfortably throughout the grooming process. Check for any signs of illness or infections and report to pet owners. Keep grooming tools and workstations clean and sanitized.

2. Pet Care Specialist

Advise customers on pet care, nutrition, and appropriate products for their pets. Assist with pet handling for boarding, daycare, or in-shop services. Ensure pets in your care are well-fed, exercised, and observed for any behavioral issues.

3. Retail / Pet Shop Assistant

Assist customers in selecting the best products for their pets, answer questions, and provide personalized recommendations. Restock shelves, process transactions, and ensure the shop remains clean and welcoming. Assist in managing inventory levels and placing orders with suppliers.

4. Administrative & Customer Support

Respond to customer inquiries, both in-person and online, in a timely and professional manner. Handle booking appointments, scheduling grooming sessions, and managing pet boarding or daycare reservations. Process customer orders through the website and follow up with any customer service issues. Manage the online store, update product listings, monitor stock levels, and ensure accurate pricing.

5. Social Media & Content Creation

Create and post engaging content for Furry Paws' social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, etc.), including photos and videos of pets during grooming or in-store activities. Plan and manage online marketing campaigns, contests, and pet care tips. Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries through social media. Stay up to date on trends to enhance Furry Paws' online presence.

Requirements:

Experience: Having experience working in pet care service industry is a bonus, but there are no requirements and training will be provided. Customer Service: Previous experience in retail or customer service (preferred). Admin Skills: Basic administrative skills like handling bookings, answering customer inquiries, and managing online orders. Tech-Savvy: Ability to manage online store platforms and social media, with basic skills in photo/video editing. Pet Care Knowledge: Solid understanding of pet care, behavior, and health. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and managing social media. Physical Stamina: Ability to handle pets of all sizes and stand for extended periods during shifts.
