Company Description The UKM Medical Molecular Biology Institute (UMBI) is a research institute focused on molecular medicine. It was formed in 2003 to enhance research in molecular medicine and is now recognised as a Higher Institution Centre of Excellence (HICoE) by the Ministry of Higher Education. UMBI is spearheading The Malaysian Cohort project and has key laboratories providing platform technologies and analysis in genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a PHD Graduate Student. The role involves working as a part of a research team to study immune biomarkers in hypertension patients. The PHD Graduate Student will be responsible for conducting research projects, designing experiments, analysing results and presenting findings to the research team. The role will also involve contributing to scientific articles and participating in research seminars. Qualifications Strong understanding of molecular biology theories and techniques Experience in cell biology and biomarker research Ability to design experiments and analyse results Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to work effectively as a part of a research team Experience in bioinformatics analysis and data mining is preferred Experience in academic writing and publication is preferred PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, or related field
