SUMMARY
Direct Test Engineers I & II in operating within area of assigned responsibilities with a high level of efficiency, integrity and enthusiasm, striving to achieve excellence in all endeavors. Designs, develops and maintains test procedures, tester hardware and software for electronic circuit board production.

LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment and Retention:
\xc2\xb7 Recruit and interview Test Engineers I & II.
\xc2\xb7 Communicate criteria to recruiters for Process Technician position candidates.
\xc2\xb7 Coach Test Engineers in the interviewing/hiring process.
\xc2\xb7 Monitor team member turnover; identify key factors that can be improved; make improvements.
Employee and Team Development:
\xc2\xb7 Identify individual and team strengths and development needs on an ongoing basis.
\xc2\xb7 Create and/or validate training curriculum in area of responsibility.
\xc2\xb7 Coach and mentor Test Engineers I & II to deliver excellence to every internal and external customer.

\xc2\xb7 Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value-added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems).
\xc2\xb7 Utilize tools to monitor departmental cost and cost trends, striving continuously to improve value.
\xc2\xb7 Provide feedback to Assistant Test Engineering Manager on cost and cost trends.
TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
\xc2\xb7 Perform duties, which involve conventional engineering practices that may include a variety of complex duties from ICT, FVT, ESS to System level test.
\xc2\xb7 Manage the engineering test function for standard and/or custom devices.
\xc2\xb7 Through subordinate supervisors or professional staff, identify and evaluate test procedures and test equipment required to perform quality checks.
\xc2\xb7 Compile and document data necessary to analyze performance and make recommendations for changes in the testing process.
\xc2\xb7 Assist/spearhead in the development of special test equipment and software text programs as required for the successful completion of project.
\xc2\xb7 Assist customer, setup training program for new product testing procedures.
\xc2\xb7 Provide training and assist test engineers.
\xc2\xb7 Act as the liaison and technical conduit for assigned customers.
\xc2\xb7 Explore new avenues and test technologies for quality improvements on product assigned.
\xc2\xb7 Perform detailed analysis on test quality of product assigned, identify trends and spearhead corrective actions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

s for Photonics Operations Product Engineer
Job Summary:
We require an accomplished Photonics Product Engineer to join our team. The Photonics Product Engineer will be working closely with the test and manufacturing teams to develop and improve the manufacturing processes used to produce the products, including optimize processes to improve quality, reduce costs, and increase production efficiency. The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting and problem-solving when issues arise with the products by work with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of issues and implement solutions. The engineer will collaborate closely with the global SME and R&D team to create new products and will be responsible for establish the yield tracking, reporting and optimization to achieve high yields and high dependability. In addition, the engineer will be required to work autonomously and assist the development of the product till mass production.
Key Responsibilities:
Assume the role of content expert for the assigned photonics product and provide customers with dedicated product engineering support. Continuously track and analyze production data, categorize various defects in DC, optical and functional failures, tracking first pass yield and cumulative pass yield in each process, including testing, assemblies, and debugging, with the goal of improving first pass yield and cumulative yield. Working with the debugging group to analyze the root cause and categorize failed units for debugging, tracking the debugging WIP and work on the burndown plan. Feedback to the production, testing or manufacturing team on process that lead to defects based on the debugging team\xe2\x80\x99s findings and drive to closure. Collaborating with the Quality Team on incoming material defects or out of specifications to derive the corrective actions. Identify manufacturing process concerns, derive the corrective actions and improvements plan based on facts and scientific methodology. Formulate the experiments or DOE necessary for process characterizations or enhancements. To lead engineers and technicians to investigate on product defects and take remedial actions with minimal downtime to the production. Maintaining routine monitoring of crucial production health indicators that may affect the performance and yield of the production. Collaborating with the testing and manufacturing engineering teams to qualify and commission new projects launch, equipment, and testers. Collaborating with testing and manufacturing engineering to resolve new project / equipment / tester qualification and production release issues. To lead on new product and technology research, to provide support for testing and manufacturing engineering to implement the best available knowledge for continuous improvement. Constantly pursuing innovative technology, materials, and methods to enhance the manufacturing and testing values. Perform studies on product requirements for their manufacturability and testability, and connect with the customer, internal engineering team, and other functional team to suggest improvements. Continuous efforts to reduce tester No Defect Found / No Trouble Found, maintain the tester capacity. To report to the management and the client on the product yield tracking, debugging bonepile WIP and aging WIP, and improvement activities. Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor. Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
