Mid/Senior Full Stack Developer

Summary:

We are seeking a Mid/Senior Full Stack Developer experienced in building and maintaining scalable, high performance web applications. The role involves backend development using Laravel and modern PHP, as well as frontend implementation with React to deliver engaging and responsive user experiences. You will work closely with the Product and Tech teams to design, develop, and deploy new modules and features, ensuring application performance, security, and reliability. The role also involves database optimization, API integrations, CI/CD deployment, and cloud infrastructure management (AWS or equivalent).

The ideal candidate has at least 2+ years of full-stack development experience, strong proficiency in Laravel, PHP, React, and relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and familiarity with REST APIs, DevOps practices, and cloud environments. Experience with Python, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code tools is a plus.

Develop and maintain high-quality backend and full-stack features using Laravel and modern PHP.

Build engaging, performant frontend experiences using React.

Collaborate with the Product and Tech teams to scope and implement new modules.

Ensure performance, scalability and security of application components.

Write clean, well-tested and maintainable code with automated test coverage.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.

Deploy features in a CI/CD environment.

Monitor, troubleshoot and debug production systems.

Maintain and optimize MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.

Integrate with REST APIs and third-party systems.

Contribute to DevOps tasks, infrastructure management and cloud deployment.

Job Requirements:

Education Qualifications & Certificates

A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related subject. Beneficial but not essential.

Work Experience

2+ years of full-stack development experience.

Proven experience building full-stack web applications using PHP/Python and React.

Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3) or other cloud platforms.

Experience with RESTful APIs, preferably within the PHP/Laravel or Python/Django ecosystem.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (e.g. GitHub Actions).

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Strong expertise in Laravel and modern PHP.

Experience with React and frontend development best practices.

Strong foundations in relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and complex SQL queries.

Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).

Knowledge of infrastructure, application architecture and deployment processes.

Proficient in Git and version control workflows.

Comfortable in agile, fast-paced environments.

Be able to speak, read, and type in English. Proficient in Mandarin.

Desired

Experience with Python for backend tasks.

Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Docker, Terraform, Ansible).

Experience with server-side rendering and SEO practices.

Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and cloud automation.

Passion for learning and sharing knowledge with teammates.
