Job Summary

The Physical Education (PE) Teacher is responsible for developing students' physical fitness, motor skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship through a well-balanced PE curriculum. The teacher promotes a healthy and active lifestyle while fostering enthusiasm and respect for physical activity in line with international education standards.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging PE lessons aligned with the school's curriculum (Cambridge/IGCSE/IB or equivalent). Design age-appropriate activities to develop students' physical abilities, coordination, and teamwork. Teach a variety of sports and physical activities while emphasizing safety, inclusion, and skill development. Organize and supervise inter-house, inter-school, and extracurricular sports events. Assess and record students' progress, providing constructive feedback and performance reports. Ensure safe and proper use of sports facilities and equipment. Promote values of discipline, teamwork, leadership, and fair play among students. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate physical education into the overall educational experience. Participate in staff meetings, professional development programs, and school community activities. Encourage student participation in physical activity and overall well-being programs.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field. Teaching certification or relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., etc.). Prior experience teaching PE in an international or multicultural school environment preferred. Strong knowledge of a range of sports and fitness programs. First Aid or CPR certification is an advantage.
