\xc2\xb7 A non-responsibility holding teacher is required to have a contact teaching load of 75% FTE a week. \xc2\xb7 For teachers with position of responsibility, the school will allocate appropriate time out of the timetable to manage the role. \xc2\xb7 Provide a variety of learning experiences that actively engages students and are appropriate for their individual needs. \xc2\xb7 Develop year plans, unit plans, and lesson plans. \xc2\xb7 Establish and communicate clear objectives for learning activities. \xc2\xb7 Incorporate a variety of learning materials and resources. \xc2\xb7 Differentiate to meet students\' varying needs. \xc2\xb7 Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment. \xc2\xb7 Use relevant technology to support instruction. \xc2\xb7 Observe and evaluate student\'s performance and development. \xc2\xb7 Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments. \xc2\xb7 Provide appropriate feedback on work. \xc2\xb7 Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students. \xc2\xb7 Maintain accurate and complete records of students\' progress and development. \xc2\xb7 Update all necessary records accurately and completely. \xc2\xb7 Support after school activities \xc2\xb7 Perform any duties in supporting students, i.e. language support, remediation etc. \xc2\xb7 Prepare required reports on students and activities \xc2\xb7 Manage student behavior \xc2\xb7 Maintain discipline in accordance with the expectations of the school \xc2\xb7 Apply appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary \xc2\xb7 Perform certain pastoral duties including but not limited to student support, counseling students with academic problems, and providing student encouragement \xc2\xb7 Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs, and student organizations \xc2\xb7 Attend and participate in faculty and parent meetings \xc2\xb7 Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs \xc2\xb7 Keep up to date with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods \xc2\xb7 Take class attendance \xc2\xb7 Participate in school camps and excursions \xc2\xb7 Contribute to the academic and social life of the school \xc2\xb7 Cover for absent colleagues \xc2\xb7 Serve on school committees \xc2\xb7 Participate in one after school activity per week \xc2\xb7 Take responsibility for the creation and maintenance of a positive work environment. \xc2\xb7 Share resources for the benefit of the school programs. \xc2\xb7 Set a positive example for students. \xc2\xb7 Monitor student uniforms and appearance \xc2\xb7 Ensure that activities provide a safe and positive environment. \xc2\xb7 Show respect for students, value their individual talents, differentiate according to their abilities, and create opportunities for success \xc2\xb7 Maintain consistently high expectations for student achievement and behaviour. \xc2\xb7 Ensure that school resources and property are used responsibly. \xc2\xb7 Participate in arrangements for further training and professional development as scheduled by the School \xc2\xb7 Participate in administrative and organisational tasks related to the teacher\xe2\x80\x99s daily work and additional tasks deemed necessary from time to time including supervision duties as assigned by the School \xc2\xb7 Maintain vigilance to ensure health and safety when on the school premises and when engaged in authorised school activities elsewhere \xc2\xb7 To participate and involve in official functions such as but not limited to school exhibitions, Open Days, Teacher/Parents Day, Sports Day, including School Holiday Programmes and so forth.
