To plan, monitor, and coordinate the overall production schedule to ensure timely delivery of customer orders, efficient utilization of resources, and balanced workflow between departments. The Planner Officer is responsible for aligning production plans with sales orders, material availability, and plant capacity to meet operational and customer requirements.
Work Condition

Requires communication with multiple departments (Production, Procurement, QA, Warehouse, and Sales).
May be required to work overtime and attend to urgent order or scheduling changes upon request from the superior.

To keep track of Sales Order lists and ensure each order line is properly scheduled in the production plan.
To check production capacity and material availability before confirming the production plan.
To prepare production plans according to agreed schedules with customers.
To prepare Purchase Requisition Forms for the Procurement Department as needed.
To adjust and revise production schedules whenever there are order changes or output variances.
To respond promptly to urgent orders or ad-hoc requests and anticipate potential short supply for preventive action.
To generate Work Orders and Material Issue forms for related departments daily.
To update stock activities in compliance with SST (Sales and Service Tax).
To ensure all planning records are properly maintained and available for audits.
To monitor daily production output and prepare Daily Output vs. Plan reports.
To coordinate with Production teams for urgent, on-hold, or priority orders to meet shipment deadlines.
To optimize production scheduling hours and capacity utilization for efficiency.
To coordinate production shutdown or maintenance plans with the Production and Maintenance teams.
To liaise with Quality & Food Safety, Shipping, and Warehouse departments for urgent releases and shipment schedules.
To monitor weekly and monthly total orders and container shipment plans.
To update the Operations Manager on supply, production planning, and any pending issues promptly.
To forecast, monitor, and manage stock levels of raw materials, packaging, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
To assist the Operations Manager in controlling overall production activities.
To maintain personal hygiene, environmental care, quality, safety, and 5S implementation.
To support corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.
To perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Food Technology, Production Management, or a related field.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in production planning or manufacturing environment (food industry preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and planning software (e.g., ERP, MRP systems).
Good communication and coordination skills across departments.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to schedule changes.
Knowledge of food safety systems (GMP, HACCP, HALAL) is an added advantage.
