Job Description
- Manage the selection, purchase, and rental of construction machinery and equipment.
- Create and execute a comprehensive maintenance schedule to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
- Oversee and manage a team of equipment operators and maintenance staff.
- Offer training and direction to staff on equipment usage and safety procedures.
- Oversee the budget for plant and machinery operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of resources.
- Manage the budget for plant and machinery operations, ensuring optimal resource use and cost efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards for machinery operation.
- Perform regular safety audits and risk assessments, taking corrective measures when necessary.
- Keep a detailed inventory of all machinery and equipment, monitoring usage and maintenance records.
- Oversee the disposal process for damaged or outdated equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers to identify machinery requirements for upcoming projects.
- Work with other departments to ensure the prompt availability of equipment.
- A bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- At least 6 years of experience in plant and machinery management in the construction industry.
- Demonstrated experience in equipment procurement, maintenance, and management.
