Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible to plan and develop strategic planning and assumes the overall responsibilities for the execution of the strategies in line with the Board\'s direction;
• To oversee the operations and drive the business and performance towards achieving the company\'s vision and goals;
• To implement Board policies and strategies, and making operational decisions;
• To serve as conduit between the Board and Management in ensuring the success of the company\'s governance and management functions;
• To ensure effective relationships and communication with Management, and between the Board, shareholders and relevant stakeholders;
• Keeping the EC / Board informed of salient aspects and issue concerning the company\'s operations, including the development in the industry;
• To oversee and be ultimately accountable for the company\'s financial performance
• To develop company\'s short and long term financial plans;
• To monitor the financial results and ensure that the crop production cost is in line with the annual budget including the implementation of capital projects;
• To provide strong leadership by effectively communicating the vision, management philosophy, business strategy and environment, safety and health policy to employees;
• To set a clear direction / KPIs at the company level and drive the business to achieve the target set;
• To build and maintain strong relationships and contacts with the Board, Group\'s Senior Management, regulators, relevant local authorities, shareholders and relevant stakeholders;
• To oversee an effective practice management and business development function.

• Preferably a Degree holder in Plantation Management, Agricultural Science or related discipline
• Incorporated Society of Planters (ISP) certificate will be an added advantage
• More than 20 years\' experience in the field and had held senior level position in plantation company
• Driven, sharp, results oriented with strong understanding of business operations and key drivers
• Experience in running / supervising large oil palm plantation estates (more than 20,000 hectares) will be an added advantage
• Possesses excellent leadership and interpersonal skill
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Excellent presentation skills
• Highly independent, multi-tasking, meticulous, agile and precise
• Pleasant interpersonal and strong business acumen
• To be based in Sibu, Sarawak
