Job Description

: Job Purpose *
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead Database Architect to manage and maintain our organization\'s database systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration and be able to manage large, complex databases.
Key Responsibilities *

• Design, implement and maintain database system, including backups, performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery.
• Monitor database performance, diagnose and resolve issues, and optimize database performance for maximum efficiency.
• Create and maintain documentation for database systems, including procedures, policies, and standards.
• Design and implement security policies and procedures to protect data from unauthorized access, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Work with development teams to ensure that database schemas, stored procedures and triggers are optimized for performance.
• Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including clustering, replication, and backup and restore strategies.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database systems and applications.
• Participate in database capacity planning and provide recommendations for hardware and software upgrades to improve performance and scalability.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in database administration and make recommendations for improvements to database systems.

Job Specification *Qualifications(Basic Degree/Diploma etc.) Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirementsCertifications in database administration, such as Oracle Certified Professional or Microsoft Certified Database AdministratorRelevant Work Experience

• 15+ years of experience in database administration with a focus on Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, InnoDB, PostgreSQL, Maria DB, Sybase DB
• Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience with cloud-based database solutions such as Amazon RDS, Google Cloud SQL, or Microsoft Azure SQL.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra

• Strong understanding of database architecture, including database design, normalization, and indexing.
• Proven experience in database backup and recovery, performance tuning, and disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of high availability and clustering technologies.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
