Job Description

Key Activities:

Database Administration support with main focus PostgreSQL databases on Google cloud or Azure cloud. Database Maintenance, housekeeping, troubleshooting. Incident, problem and change management of database-related incidents and problems, both in collaboration with other technical teams. Installation, configuration and lifecycle migrations/upgrades and patch management SQL (PLSQL) database programming. unix, PHP, python shell scripting.

Qualifications:

PostgreSQL database administration role requiring 2-10 years of PostgreSQL management experience. Experience in cloud environments like Google or Azure is essential. Skills include support for Cloud PaaS subscriptions and administration tasks: backup, recovery, monitoring, and performance tuning. Proficiency in problem analysis, debugging, and vendor support is necessary. Knowledge in database installation, patching, high availability solutions, data transfer features, space management, and user management is required. Expertise in database security measures is expected. Advanced skills in Unix shell scripting, PHP or Python programming, and SQL programming are desired. Familiarity with cloud key rotation and network traffic encryption concepts is important.
