ROLE PROFILE

JOB TITLE: Power Platform Developer

FUNCTION: GBS

SUB FUNCTION: PMO

CITY & COUNTRY: Malaysia

ROLE SUMMARY

The Power Platform Developer will be involved in the development of a global PMO toolkit and Automated Business Case solutions, serving 3 regions. The application will serve as a centralized hub for various user request such as new Business Case submissions, approval flows, a Project Toolkit & process flows, and actualisation of benefits.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Collaborating with multi-functional teams to architect, design, develop and implement the building blocks of the application. Architecting and designing of the applications including but not limited to: end to end application structure using Power Platform & Cloud technologies such as Azure SQL and SharePoint as the backbone.

• Translating high fidelity prototypes created by UI / UX designers into functional applications.
• Deploying, creating & architecting the SQL database scheme (if needed)
• Building and testing modular applications using Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power Apps and Power Automate and ensuring functional requirements and user requests are met.
• Ensuring standardization builds of applications by consuming or designing reusable components in Power Apps.
• Developing and implementing automated workflows and streamline business processes in the application.
• Participate in agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, navigating backlogs into development work and retrospectives review and ensuring project timelines are met.
• Provides ongoing support and applications maintenance, including fixing, problem solving and resolving bugs list.
• Creating user documentation to support continuity of application development process and maintenance of applications.
• Provide consultation and recommendations to development team and relevant team on best practises, technology sharing, and optimum solution related to application build.
• Communicating effectively with various stakeholders, primarily the project & development team on task updates, issues, and risks.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

• Degree or equivalent experience in relevant fields such as Software Engineering, Computer Science etc.
• At least 3+ years prior experience in designing, developing, and implementing application using both Microsoft Power Platform and Azure SQL Cloud
• Strong knowledge in Power Apps.
• Solid experience in deploying, creating, and architecting the SQL database scheme.
• Strong problem solving, continuous improvement and resourceful mindset.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work in a collaborative environment with different stakeholders - designers, project manager, scrums etc.
• Experience in developing product using agile methodologies and ways of working.
