is responsible for coordinating and managing production planning activities to ensure smooth manufacturing flow and on-time delivery. This role involves monitoring production schedules, ensuring material availability, and aligning production operations with customer requirements and company targets. The PPC Executive works closely with cross-functional departments to balance production efficiency, material readiness, and delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Scheduling
Prepare and update daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules in accordance with customer orders and production capacity.
Monitor production progress and highlight any potential delays or deviations to the PPC Manager.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure adherence to schedules and timely completion of work orders.
Adjust plans as needed to accommodate changes in demand, capacity, or material availability.
2. Material Planning & Control
Support Material Requirement Planning (MRP) to ensure sufficient availability of raw materials, components, and consumables.
Work closely with Purchasing and Warehouse teams to monitor material delivery, stock levels, and consumption.
Prevent material shortages or excess inventory by maintaining optimal stock balance.
Assist in inventory analysis and control initiatives to improve turnover and reduce wastage.
3. Data & Documentation Management
Maintain accurate production planning data, including schedules, output reports, and material usage records.
Prepare daily and monthly PPC reports for management review.
Update ERP/MRP systems with production and material information to ensure data accuracy.
Ensure all work orders and production documents are properly recorded and filed.
4. Coordination & Communication
Liaise with Production, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to align daily operations and production priorities.
Communicate with Sales and Customer Service on delivery schedules, order status, or production adjustments.
Coordinate with the Logistics team to ensure timely shipment planning and finished goods readiness.
Serve as a communication bridge between departments to resolve scheduling or material-related issues.
5. Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve planning accuracy, reduce downtime, and optimize production flow.
Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or process improvement projects initiated by the PPC department.
Support initiatives aimed at reducing cost, improving efficiency, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Management, or related field.
Minimum
2-4 years
of working experience in
production planning, material control, or manufacturing coordination
.
Solid understanding of
BOM (Bill of Materials)
, production workflow, and manufacturing processes.
Experience with
ERP/MRP systems
(e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
Proficient in
Microsoft Excel
and planning tools.
Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
Able to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
Experience in
automotive or electronics manufacturing
is an added advantage.
