THE ROLE
Strategic Counsel/Creative Inputs

• Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations or develop communications strategies and programmes to help clients achieve their objectives
• Offer timely strategic counsel and advice to clients on all aspects of communications
• Proactively identify existing and emerging issues and devise solutions to manage these issues successfully
• Conduct periodic strategic communications programme reviews for clients
• Develop media relations strategy for clients and build media relationships
• Coordinate all public relations activities together with the team for clients
• Prepare communications programme or project evaluation reports at appropriate intervals and recommend changes or adjustments accordingly
• Develop crisis management skills to help clients manage crisis
• Assist in media training of clients
• Work with team to create content for any type of materials

Account Management

• Provide accurate budget estimates for projects and retainer accounts
• Manage and track all client budgets to ensure appropriate servicing level
• Proactively alert relevant director to emerging budget or client issues and problems
• Manage, coach and train junior or new members in the project team
• Mentor newcomers
• Ensure that all outputs by team members meet internal standards, client requirements and deadlines
• Day-to-day liaison with clients
• Develop and build client relationships

Business Development

• Provide business development leads
• Identify and develop expansion of business with existing clients
• Focal point for business development proposals and pitches
