Role Responsibilities
Organisational Context
Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) has a bold ambition to be the number one Learning function in the world: \xe2\x80\x9chaving world-class learning that unlocks the unique potential of our people and helps them contribute their best to Standard Chartered and our clients, both today and as we transform into the future\xe2\x80\x9d.
To achieve this ambition, the People Capability (PC) function has reinvented its organisation design to organise around Hives, Disciplines and Squads. In this model:
\xc2\xb7 Multi-disciplinary \xe2\x80\x9cSquads\xe2\x80\x99\xe2\x80\x99 deliver work to achieve the function\xe2\x80\x99s priorities. Squads are comprised of practitioners from different Disciplines, with different skills, levels of expertise and backgrounds.
\xc2\xb7 \xe2\x80\x9cPriorities\xe2\x80\x9d are the way in which work is organised and relate to unique areas of delivery. Squads delivering on different projects within the same strategic priority are grouped together and called \xe2\x80\x9cHives\xe2\x80\x99\xe2\x80\x99.
\xc2\xb7 All Squad members are \xe2\x80\x9cDiscipline\xe2\x80\x99\xe2\x80\x99 practitioners and are dynamically allocated to Squads through Disciplines:
o Disciplines are the \xe2\x80\x98homes\xe2\x80\x99 for practitioners to develop their professional excellence and to maintain a common approach to similar activities and tasks.
o They provide a stable community for practitioners to belong to (as people move across Squads).
o They enable multi-skilling and development of depth and breadth or \xe2\x80\x9cT-shaped\xe2\x80\x9d capabilities.
