School Leadership & Administration
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the preschool, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
Define and implement school policies, including admissions, attendance, tuition, and educational goals.
Maintain accurate administrative records and prepare required reports.
Plan the school calendar, manage classroom schedules, and coordinate use of shared spaces and equipment.
Keep abreast of new developments in early childhood education and represent the school in professional organisations.
Staff Management & Professional Development
Lead, mentor, and support teaching staff through regular meetings, guidance, and performance reviews.
Prepare job descriptions, manage staff assignments, and arrange substitute coverage.
Plan and implement in-service training and professional growth opportunities.
Foster positive interpersonal relationships and support staff with curriculum planning, classroom management, and career development.
Facility, Safety & Resource Management
Maintain the school environment, equipment, and supplies, ensuring all spaces are safe, organised, and well-resourced.
Oversee custodial care, maintenance, repairs, and inventory.
Plan and manage safety programmes, including playground safety and fire drills.
Enrolment, Marketing & Parent Relations
Manage the full enrolment process, including parent interviews, orientations, and maintaining enrolment targets.
Develop and implement marketing and public relations programmes to promote the school.
Communicate effectively with parents through meetings, conferences, and various communication channels.
Lead parent participation programmes
Children's Programme & Teaching
Oversee the planning and implementation of high-quality educational programmes for children aged 18 months to 6 years.
Support teachers in lesson planning, routine management, field trips, and classroom environment design.
Participate in curriculum development, children's progress evaluations, and parent-teacher conferences.
Teach and support classroom activities when needed, including holiday programmes.
Ensure children's health records are maintained and liaise with agencies for children with special needs.
Requirements:
1. Love children!
2. Possess relevant qualifications, e.g. Diploma/Degree in ECE/ PERMATA
2. Experienced in teaching and managing a centre
3. Fluent in English (Fluency in Mandarin would be an added advantage)
