Job Description

Curriculum Planning: Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that align with the educational goals of the kindergarten program.

Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, managing student behavior and fostering a safe and nurturing atmosphere.

Instructional Delivery: Provide engaging and interactive lessons that promote the development of foundational skills in areas such as language, math, and social-emotional learning.

Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess students' progress and development, using various methods to track individual achievements and identify areas for improvement.

Parent Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians, sharing insights into students' academic and social progress and addressing any concerns or questions.

Collaboration with Colleagues: Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to coordinate activities, share resources, and ensure a cohesive learning experience for students.

Individualized Support: Provide additional support and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of individual students, including those with special educational requirements.

Health and Safety: Ensure the well-being of students by implementing health and safety protocols, supervising activities, and responding appropriately to any emergencies or incidents.

Professional Development: Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education, attend relevant workshops, and pursue professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of students' progress, attendance, and any relevant incidents. Prepare regular reports and participate in parent-teacher conferences to discuss students' performance.

Enrichment Activities: Organize and participate in extracurricular activities, field trips, and special events that contribute to the overall learning experience and enjoyment for students.

Cultural Sensitivity: Foster a culturally sensitive and inclusive environment that respects and celebrates diversity among students and their families.
