Job Description

1. Academic Support



Provide

homework supervision and coaching

for primary school children (typically ages 7-12). Assist children in

understanding school assignments

, explaining concepts in age-appropriate language. Monitor children's progress, identify

learning gaps

, and provide

remedial support

when needed.

2. Lesson and Activity Facilitation



Plan and implement

enrichment activities

: reading, arts & crafts, basic science experiments, language games, or math challenges. Conduct

educational games and exercises

that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and social skills. Occasionally prepare

mini-lessons or tutorials

for small groups based on students' academic needs.

3. Childcare and Supervision



Supervise children at all times, ensuring

safety, well-being, and proper conduct

. Manage transitions (arrival, snack time, homework, playtime, dismissal). Encourage

positive behavior, cooperation, and respect

among children. Provide emotional support, especially for children struggling with academics or social adjustment.

4. Classroom / Environment Management



Ensure the

learning environment is safe, clean, and conducive to study

. Organize

materials and learning resources

, including stationery, educational games, and books. Maintain

order and discipline

while promoting a friendly and engaging environment.

5. Extra Responsibilities



Support

enrichment or holiday programs

if required. Occasionally assist with

field trips or events

, ensuring student safety and engagement. Attend

staff meetings, training, and professional development

sessions.

6. Skills and Qualities Required



Strong

academic knowledge

of primary school subjects. Ability to

explain concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles

Patient, nurturing, and empathetic

personality for working with children. Good

communication skills

for interacting with parents and colleagues. Ability to

manage a group of children

effectively, balancing supervision and teaching.
