About the job Principal Consultant - Offshore Operations (FPSO / SPAR / Deepwater) Responsibilities
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in offshore operations for FPSO/SPAR and deepwater developments.
Provide strategic and operational consultancy to clients on production operations, facilities integrity, process control, flow assurance, and asset reliability.
Support clients in resolving complex operational challenges, including system upsets, integrity issues, and production optimization.
Advise on operational readiness, start-up, shutdown, commissioning, and steady-state operations of FPSO/SPAR facilities.
Lead and participate in technical reviews, operational assessments, gap analyses, and risk assessments for offshore assets.
Provide expert input to deepwater project development, including concept selection, design reviews, and operational philosophy.
Interface with client stakeholders, project teams, offshore personnel, and third-party contractors to deliver consultancy outcomes.
Mentor junior consultants and engineers and contribute to capability development within the consultancy team.
Support business development activities through proposal preparation, technical presentations, and client engagements.
Requirement
Possess at least a recognized Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
Registered Engineer with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) for local candidates.
Minimum 13 years of relevant oil and gas industry experience.
At least 5 years of hands-on FPSO/SPAR operational experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience in deepwater projects.
Strong understanding of offshore production systems, operational excellence, and asset integrity management.
Proven experience providing technical advisory or consultancy services to operators or project teams.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
