Principal Project Manager

This position will be responsible for serving as the point of contact for Amway IT strategic vendors. He/She will be involved in Statement of Work (SOW) negotiations, managing the relationships, and ensuring that vendors operate according to contract agreements such as Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This includes escalating if necessary. This role will facilitate effective partnering with vendor organizations, ensuring effective communication between all parties. He/She will have opportunity to represent Amway with strategic vendors on a global basis and build global processes. Engage with global IT leadership and assist in negotiating win-win terms for both Amway and our IT vendors.

Primary Responsibilities

-Meetings with operational team to track progress against SLAs and KPIs (Both Malaysia and overseas; this could mean early morning or late-night calls)
-Reviewing SOWs or schedules in a contract, working with the IT delivery manager to decide how the contract should be structured, in conjunction with Legal and Procurement
-Meeting with teams about new needs and translating it into actionable SOWs
-Ensuring correct billing and managing dispute escalations.
-Administering penalties and incentives with vendors
-Conduct performance review on a strategic level for vendors in scope
-Drive continuous improvement and improvement of key performance indicators
-Drive cost savings while mitigating risks to gain increased value from vendors

Qualifications & Experience

-Degree in related field or equivalent
-A minimum 8 years of working experience in related field.
-Significant experience with managing vendors and service contracts. Experience with negotiating multi-million-dollar contracts with multiple vendors would be extremely beneficial
-Excellent communication skills will be key, as you will be working with individuals throughout the enterprise at all levels and vendors all over the world. Global experience is a definite plus.
-Skills to discern what a leader needs out of a specific contract.
-Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
