Department Overview Hardware Building Blocks

• Responsible for research, design and layout of highly sophisticated RF and Analog Integrated Circuits including Low-Noise Amplifiers, mixers, FGUs and Op-amps.
• Work with a team of highly qualified engineers.
• Responsible to optimize and drive design concepts to meet requirements.
• Responsible to analyze and trouble-shoot complex problems.
• Responsible to conduct research via journals and online information.
• Establish correlation between simulation and experimental data from RF bench-testing to ensure high level of confidence in simulation models.
• Continuous improvements in work efficiency via continuous self-learning and automation.
• Some international travel may be necessary.

Basic Requirements

• At least a Bachelor Degree in Microelectronics/IC Engineering. Post-graduate degrees are advantageous.
• Familiarity with RF concepts are advantageous.
• Experienced with design, layout and simulation tools in Cadence Spectre and Virtuoso or equivalent.
• Prefer at least 7 years working experience in related field.
• Good in analytical and problem solving skills
• Candidate should be innovative, look forward to challenging tasks, be a fast learner and be flexible to accept changes.
• Enjoys leading initiatives, be self directed and independent.
• Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer and labview are advantageous.
• Excellent team spirit with good communications and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work well with cross-functional teams.
• Able to communicate & present the conceptual ideas in English to technical audiences.
• Candidate must be willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
