Responsibilities

Development of manufacturing routes for new components. Ability to use Cad Cam system Design fixtures Programming of CNC lathe and machining centre machine tools. Help with setting of new products and prove out new fixture Identification and purchasing of tooling required for operational purposes. Participation in tenders relating to New Product Introduction. Development of Machine Operators competence Look at process/program improvements Organise Regular maintenance of work equipment & machines to ensure good running order. Accurate time recording on both Route Sheets and Production Management System. Completing dimensional check on jobs prior to breakdown from machine. Informing QC Dept. / Management of any non-conformances. Inform management if machines not running to correct times Report any Ensure all measuring equipment is within calibration and reporting any damage to equipment prior to use. Co-ordinating hand-over between day and night shift where necessary. Collaborate with the engineering staff to produce design sketches and drawings in accordance with applicable standards Assist engineering staff in the design and development of components. Interface with engineering staff effectively to ensure the form, fit and function of designs while also working with fabrication managers to ensure cost effectiveness and manufacturability of designs. Review and verify design drawings and other technical documentation prepared by others to ensure correctness and accuracy in form, fit and function. Daily housekeeping of work area. Any other task assigned by immediate superior.
Qualification & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Min 3 years proven experience in a Precision Engineering environment. Preferably knowledge of production processes, materials science, quality control, and statistics. Experience with process design, development, and implementation.
