Position : NPI Process Engineer

Job Location : Perai

Job Responsibilities:

1. Work together with project team on speaker business New Project Introduction.

Support RFQ and Business Case study, black and white target labor productivity, OEE, scrap rate and investment plan to simulate PnL achievements. A key member involves earlier stage of new PCP/PPCP projects feasibility study. Support GPE on new project process, jig and equipment design, as receiving party handover and buy off PCP/PPCP projects PPAP documents to local plant. Support new equipment FAT and SAT if vendor source from local Malaysia. In charge of new project BOM buy off in both physical and SAP. Lead new line, new equipment set up and release. Review and approve the 1st version of process engineering documents. Verify 1st version of engineering routing created in SAP properly. Lead trial run activity, collect and evaluate trial run data and result, report trial run performance to stakeholders, follow up open points until fully closed. Responsible for allocated projects 5star launching within target period. Hand over new project from NPI to MP when TR2 and MPR ramp up targets are fully granted. Ensure standardized work design are respected and reflected to SAP engineering routing.
2. Drive improvement on production capacity and capability.

Internal VSM study, shop floor layout and re-layout. Takt time, Cycle time, work content, line balancing, HC plan and space plan. Short term and long-term capacity mapping. N+1, N-1 production model. Maintain and update SAP engineering routing database.
3. Ensure the produced Speakers are complying with PSS standard.

Secure process quality with error proofing solutions. Jigs and equipment design, introduction, acceptance, monitoring. Product, process issue analysis, corrective and preventive action. Engineering change management. Engineering samples management follow the standard procedure. Appointed 8D leader when allocated product internal and external incident occur. A key member of QRQC, Escalation and reaction. A key member of standardized work auditor.

Job Requirements:

Degree in Engineering: Mechanical/Electronic/Industrial/Acoustic Minimum of 5 years' experience in NPI (New Product Introduction) and manufacturing engineering within a related industry (electrical, electronic, semiconductor), including overseas transfer projects and collaboration with cross-country teams. Expertise on IATF16949 5 core tools application, new product, new process, new jig & equipment introduction, Industrial engineering basic, takt time, cycle time calculation, line balancing design, short- and long-term capacity mapping, OEE and labor productivity calculation & improvement. Knowledge of problem-solving tool like 5Why, DOE, DMAIC, 8D. Able to use CAD to design jigs & fixture. Team player, clear and concise in communication, detail and hands on.
