Process Engineer / Senior Process Engineer (NPI & Automation)

Your Job

As a Process Engineer or Senior Process Engineer, your primary purpose is to support new product introduction (NPI) and automation-related development on the manufacturing floor. You will develop, optimize, and sustain assembly and automated processes to meet productivity, quality, and cost targets.

Our Team

You will work within a collaborative, cross-functional team that includes Automation, Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, and suppliers. The team actively partners with China-based colleagues and external vendors to ensure alignment and successful execution of tooling and process initiatives in support of manufacturing goals.

What You Will Do

Develop and improve assembly and automated assembly processes to enhance productivity, yield, and cost performance. Support NPI builds by setting up and validating processes, including tooling, equipment, and quality control. Collaborate closely with Automation, Manufacturing, R&D, Quality teams, and suppliers on tooling, fixtures, and equipment design and optimization. Analyze process data, troubleshoot production issues, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Prepare detailed process documentation, technical reports, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders. Participate actively in Lean manufacturing initiatives, PFMEA exercises, and process capability assessments. Coordinate with China teams and external vendors to ensure seamless collaboration and project delivery.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Experience in assembly processes, tooling, automation equipment, or manufacturing engineering. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), or Six Sigma methodologies. Proficient in CAD software such as Siemens NX or SolidWorks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex process data. Mandarin language proficiency is preferred due to frequent collaboration with China-based teams.

Preferred Qualifications)

As a Process Engineer:

Experience coordinating NPI and automation development projects with limited supervision. Ability to engage cross-functional teams and suppliers to drive technical decisions. Demonstrated capability to support root cause investigations and process improvements.

As a Senior Process Engineer:

Proven ability to independently coordinate NPI and automation development projects from start to finish. Strong leadership skills to drive cross-functional technical decisions and manage supplier relationships. Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading root cause investigations. Track record of establishing process standards and implementing long-term capability improvements.
