Job Summary
As a
Process Engineer
, you will be responsible for the
design, optimization, and technical support
of beverage process systems and sanitary piping. You will work closely with the
Process Manager
to ensure that all system designs are efficient, technically sound, and meet hygienic industry standards from concept through commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain
PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams)
and
P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams)
for beverage process systems.
Perform
process calculations
including flow rates, heat exchange, pump sizing, and pressure drops.
Prepare
equipment specifications
, datasheets, and process design documentation.
Ensure sanitary design compliance with standards such as
3-A, GMP, and ASME BPE
.
Support the design and drafting team with accurate process information for equipment and piping layout development.
Assist with
CIP (Clean-In-Place)
and
SIP (Sterilize-In-Place)
system development and validation.
Coordinate with mechanical, automation, and site teams to ensure process intent is maintained throughout design and implementation.
Participate in
FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing)
,
SAT (Site Acceptance Testing)
, and
commissioning
of installed systems.
Assist in
troubleshooting and performance testing
during system start-up or operation.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in
Chemical Engineering
,
Process Engineering
, or equivalent.
2-5 years' experience in
process design or engineering
for
beverage
,
food
, or
dairy systems
.
Solid understanding of
sanitary process equipment
,
fluid mechanics
, and
process control systems
.
Proficient in
Microsoft Office
; experience with
AutoCAD
,
SolidWorks
, or process simulation software is a plus.
Knowledge of
PLC/SCADA integration
is an added advantage.
Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in
English and Bahasa Malaysia
.
Willing to travel to fabrication workshops and project sites when needed.
